Band
Drift Again is a post-hardcore band from California. The band is Michael Hartsfield on bass, Dennis Remsing on drums, Randy Johnson on guitar, and Michael Garceau on vocals. They originally started as Solitude in the summer of 1990. After a few practices, they recorded their two song ‘I Hear Silence’ demo. The demo was self-released and they played a few shows before discovering there was another more established band already using the name. They had no choice but to change theirs. From that point on, they became Drift Again.
The band went back into the studio in May of 1991 to record their debut single ‘The Cold Season’. It was released on Network Sound in July 1991. The band continued to play shows around Southern California for the next two years before disbanding in 1993.
In 2019, the band reformed with the addition on Reid Black on bass and Mike Hartsfield moving over to guitar. They have been actively writing new music and have plans to eventually record and start playing shows again.
